On June 12, 2024, Army General Paiboon Khumchaya, Vice President of the Good Health Good Heart Royal Project Foundation, General Chalermchai Sitthisart, Vice President and Privy Councilor, Air Chief Marshal Subin Chiwpreecha, Administration member of the foundation, Mr. Kuheng Yawohasun , Secretary of Minister of Justice, Mrs. Pongsawat Neelayothin, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Jirapa Sintunava, Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice, with members of the Committee of the Good Health Good Heart Royal Project Foundation, inspect and follow up on the operation of the Good Health Good Heart Royal Project Foundation inside the prison facilities of Chaiya District Prison and Surat Thani Central Prison.
They were welcomed by the executives of Department of Corrections, Mr. Sahakarn Petchnarin, Director General, Police Lieutenant Colonel Shane Karnjanapach, Deputy Director General(Academic), Mr. Somphob Sangkhudkaew, Chief of Inspectors, along with Region 8 Prisons and Correctional Institutions directors, and prison officers.
For thorough inspection, Army General Paiboon and General Chalermchai also visited Chaiya Hospital Surat Thani Hospital, Juvenile Observation and Protection Centre and Juvenile Vocational Training Centre in Surat Thani Province. The latter were also attended by the executives of Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection, Police Lieutenant Colonel Prawut Wongsinin, Director General, Mrs. Sujittra Kaewkrai, Deputy Director General (Administration), and DJOP HQ officers.
The main activities of the inspection were Good Health Good Heart Royal Project report and discussion meeting, gifting of relief supplies to sick, disabled, senile, and pregnant inmates and children living with their mothers in prison, and the inspection of women wing, prison infirmary, diseases quarantine room and moms and kids room.
