On August 5, 2024, Mr. Sahakarn Petchnarin, the Director General of Department of Corrections, assigned Mr. Charn Vachiradech, Deputy Director-General of the DOC (Development), to preside over new stairs construction toward Khao Prik mountain summit, located in Wat Phra Buddha Badh Khiri Wan Khao Prik (Bhuddist Temple), Sikhiu, Nakhon Ratchasima. He was welcomed by Mr. Winai Sangkhiaw, Director of Khao Prik Agriculture Industrial Institution, and the Institution officers, along with the delegates of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Administrative Organization.

This new construction is a collaboration between Khao Prik Agriculture Industrial Institution, Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Administrative Organization, Wat Phra Buddha Badh., local society and tourism agency, to promote tourism in the around the Institution area, with the association of nearby people and organizations, who will greatly assist in publicizing, bringing in more tourists, generating more prosperity to the Institutions and locals.

The stairs cover total distance of 800 meters, comprised of 1500 concrete blocks, arranged toward the mountain summit that sits at 600 meters above sea level. There are several stops along the stairways that tourists and visitors can visit, enjoy the scenery, or pray for the blessing, including several unique Bhuddha statues, Hermit Cave and House of Priests of Wat Phra Buddha Badh. (ถ้ำฤาษี และสำนักสงฆ์วัดฯ), Ya Mo (a.k.a. Thao Suranari – wife of a deputy governor who became a national hero during King Anouvong Invasion of Siam) mountain viewpoint (จุดชมวิวย่าโม), and Ancient Sink, etc.
