On June 21,2024, Mr. Charn Wachiradech, Deputy Director-General of Department of Corrections (Development), arrived at Mab Ueang Agri-Nature Centre, Chonburi Province, to preside over the 2nd Generation of “การพัฒนากสิกรรมสู่ระบบเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง” (Agricultural Development to Sustainable Economy) Training Course.
At the course’s opening ceremony, Mrs. Warissara Sirisuthidecha, Director of the Rehabilitation Division, gave a speech regarding the objectives of the course, and several DOC leaders were attendees, namely, Mr. Padet Ringrod, Director of Chonburi Central Prison, Mr. Sonthaya Singhara Na Ayudhaya, Director of Pattaya Remand Prison, Mrs. Sukritta Phetnongchum, Director of Chonburi Women’s Correctional Institution, Ms. Suda Suwannarak, Director of Prisoner Development Sub-bureau of Chonburi Central Prison, along with Dr. Wiwat Sinlayakamthorn, the founder of the Mab Ueang Agri-Nature Centre, and Ms. Salisa Sinlayakamthorn, Current Director of Mab Ueang Agri-Nature Centre.
The course has 69 correctional officers registered as students, they are from Region 6 – 10 prisons and correctional institutions. After completing this course, they will bring the knowledge, skills, and experience that will have been obtained during the course, to instruct the inmates in their pursuit of just another great path to social reintegration, fulfilling the objectives of the course, contributing to the better society, and honoring the great royal initiatives “Khok Nong Na Model” all in one.
