On May 16, 2024, Pol. Lt. Col. Shane Karnjanapach, Deputy Director General of Department of Corrections (Academic), visited Songkhla Women Correctional Institution to inspect its operation. Mrs. Juthamas Sidam-on, acting in place of Mrs. Rassamee Suwannahong, the Director of Songkhla Women Correctional Institution, along with the Institution officers, warmly welcomed.
Pol. Lt. Col. Shane’s main focus of the visit was on Chuan Chom Samila Vocational Training Center, a facility under the Institution, which specialized on bakery, food and handcraft items made by inmates. He thoroughly observed its operation, and instructed the Institution officers on improving the product and the quality of services.
