On June 11, 2024, Mr. Sahakarn Petchnarin, the Director General of the Department of Corrections, arrived at Chaiya District Prison. Ms. Sathika Samsri, Director of Chaiya District Prison, and the prison officers, welcomed and guided him throughout the inspection.
The purpose of this visit was to pre-inspect the overall facilities of the prison, as the prison was scheduled to be visited by Army General Paiboon Khumchaya, Vice President, with members of the Committee of the Good Health Good Heart Royal Project Foundation, to inspect and follow up on the operation of the Good Health Good Heart Royal Project Foundation inside the prison facilities on June 12.
In the same day, Mr. Sahakarn visited Surat Thani Central Prison that also was scheduled to be visited as part of the aforementioned Good Health Good Heart Royal Project inspection and inaugurate the Region 8 prison performance report meeting that took place in the prison’s conference room. He was warmly welcomed by the directors of Region 8 prisons and the institution officers.
