On May 27, 2024, Mr. Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, Director of the Committee on Budgeting Study and Budget Administration, with his team, visited Chonburi Central Prison to assess the budget management of the Region 2 industrial prison project. Mr. Charn Wachiradech, Deputy Director General of the Department of Corrections (Development), Mr. Padet Ringrod, Director of Chonburi Central Prison and Chief of Region 2 prisons directors, along with officers of Rehabilitation Divisions, warmly welcomed them. Mr. Charn led the prison team in guiding the visiting Committee through the operation site and the prison host a meeting to report the budget management performance.
The Committee’s objective was to gather relevant information for further analysis and processing, to eventually formulate a report to the House of Representatives. The report of Chonburi Central Prison’s Region 2 industrial prison project operation is expected to significantly influence the next industrial prison project in the near future.
