On May 28,2024, at 2 P.M., Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong, the Minister of Justice, arrived at the Office of The Judiciary Tower, Rajburi Direkrit Conference Room to attend a council meeting on “Drug Prevention and Suppression and Rehabilitation of Drug-addicts, according to The Narcotics Code, B.E.2564 (2021), with Mrs. Anocha Chevitsophon, the Chief Justice. The attendants of the meeting are Mr. Wiwat Wongsakittirat, Secretary of Chief Justice, Mr. Nathadon Kitikamara, Deputy Secretary of Chief Justice, Mr. Utain Sirisamattakarn, Chief Judge of Region 1, Mr. Phaophan Chobnamtan, Deputy Secretary General of the Office of the Judiciary, Mr. Yusin Chintapakorn and Mr.Niyom Termsrisuk , Vice Ministers of Justice, Mrs. Jirapa Sintunava, Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice, Mr. Kittisak Aksornwong (M.D.), Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Mr. Sahakarn Petchnarin, Director General of the Department of Corrections, Mr. Ruangsak Suwaree, Director General of the Department of Probation, Police Lieutenant Colonel Prawut Wongsinin, Director General of the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection, and Mr. Mana Siriphitthayawat, Deputy Secretary General of the Narcotics Control Board, along with several leaders of the Office of the Judiciary and the Ministry of Justice, and associated officers.
The objective of this meeting is to discuss on applying drug-addicts more effective rehabilitation measures, in line with The Narcotics Code. After that, The Office of The Judiciary and the Ministry of Justice will collaborate on establish a new approach to counter against the spread of drugs with greater efficiency and appropriation for the problems and circumstances.
