On July 30, 2024, at Kamphaeng Phet Central Prison, Mr. Sahakarn Petchnarin, Director-General of Department of Corrections, presided over Mae Raka Temporary Prison, the new agricultural tourist attraction and vocaltional training facility, under Kamphaeng Phet Central Prison. He was warmly welcomed by Mr. Thitipun Manujantarat, Director of Kamphaeng Phet Central Prison (Leader of Region 6 Prisons), and the prison officers. The opening ceremony was also attended by several leaders of government agencies in Kamphaeng Phet Province, who came to congratulate the prison and the DOC in this occasion.
After that, Mr. Thitipun and the prison officers guided Mr. Sahakarn through the facilities of the temporary prison, The prison, together with local Khok Nong Na agriculturists network also presented an exhibition, showcasing prisoner-made items, food, drinks and others. Then, Mr. Sahakarn concluded the event by delivering an encouraging speech and administrative directions to the prison officers, aiming to furtherly improve the operation of the prison, and instructed and encourage inmates to comply to prison order and maintain good discipline.
