On 20th October 2022, the Department of Corrections hosted a ceremony to transfer two French inmates at Klong Prem Central Prison. On this occasion, Mr.Somboon Sila , Director of the Klong Prem Central Prison, Representative of the Department, alongside Ms. Elisabeth Martinet, Vice-Consul, Embassy of France, are the official representatives in surrendering the prisoners and returning them to serve their remaining sentence in France. Being the 7th transferral of the year, the transfer ceremony is in accordance with the Treaty between the Kingdom of Thailand and the French Republic on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons and on Co-operation in the Enforcement of Penal Sentences. We trust that serving sentence in the homeland could facilitate family visits and better rehabilitation.
