Department of Corrections and UNODC met to discuss on 4th February 2022. The main representatives in the event were the Senior Expert on Penology, the Inspector of DoC, including the Foreign Affairs Team and the staff of UNODC. The topics of discussion were such as needs DoC require under Covid-19 situation, thus UNODC could provide further assistance. The request from DoC are namely ATK provided, water sanitation, staff and inmate Training programme via Zoom and possible technical assistance in terms of pilot Reception prisons. We appreciate the supports UNODC would be giving in this regard and look forward to creating a better environment for inmates.
