On June 10, 2024, The officers of The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with trainees of the Training on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice for Southeast Asia (T4SEA), an ongoing UNODC-initiated training programme, designed to draw upon Southeast Asia’s regional frameworks, criminal justice policies and perspectives, and the officers of Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ), paid a site visit to Central Women’s Correctional Institution, to observe and learn about its operation, management, and prisoner rehabilitation standards and procedures. They were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Arjaree Srisunakhrua, Director of Central Women’s Correctional Institution, and institution officers, who also guided the visitors through several sections of the correctional facilities.
